| History of the His People Church Family of ChurchesHis People Christian Church was birthed in 1988 in the city of Cape Town through the ministry of Paul and Jenny Daniel to a small group of students in their rented home in Milnerton.Shortly thereafter, the His People Bible School began on the University of Cape Town campus as well as a regular Sunday meeting in a lecture theatre. The ministry grew rapidly and soon the biggest lecture hall at the University of Cape Town was unable to hold the congregation.
In 1993 the church moved into Cape Town second largest theater, the Baxter, and within three years were conducting four full-capacity meetings every Sunday. The church was then compelled to move into one of Cape Town most prestigious venues, the Artscape Theatre (previously, the Nico Milan Theatre). During this period, the ministry also began to expand rapidly to other campuses within South Africa and internationally. |
